Starlink satellites in orbit now

11,110 Starlink satellites have current orbit data. Here is where they fly, from element sets dated 7 October 2026.

Altitude is the mean altitude from each satellite's mean motion (Earth radius 6,378 km). Source: CelesTrak GP element sets, 7 October 2026.

Reading the shells

Most Starlink satellites sit in shells tilted 53° and 43° to the equator, which cover the latitudes where most people live. The 70° and 97.6° shells reach the high latitudes and the poles. Satellites below about 400 km are mostly new ones still climbing to their working orbit, or old ones being lowered to re-enter. Those low, freshly launched satellites are the ones you can see easily; see the Starlink train.
