November 2026: Mars and Jupiter 1.2° apart; Leonids peak (ZHR ≈15, Moon 55% lit); Mercury at greatest western elongation (20°); Full Beaver Moon. Planets from New York: evening: Saturn; before dawn: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter.

How are these guides made?

Every date, time and position is computed from NASA JPL's DE440 ephemeris for New York, London, Toronto and Sydney. Meteor showers follow the International Meteor Organization's calendar and eclipses NASA's catalogue by Fred Espenak.

What time zone are the times in?

Event times are in UTC, with local times for the four reference cities where it matters (Moon phases, planet times).
